25 | On 06/28/24 at 1:30 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) D. Campos and M.Caro conducted an announced Case Management inspection-licensee initiated. LPAs met with Executive Director Gwen Babaoye and Assistant Site supervisor Aretha Animashaun for the purpose of conducting a health and safety inspection to return the facility back to active license status. Also present during today's inspection were 2 board members and one teacher assistant. No daycare children were present during today's inspection. Facility has been inactive since 2/22/2022 due to a fire incident and school has temporarily been relocated to 650 Alma Ave Oakland, CA. 94610.
A fire inspection was completed and clearance was granted on 6/24/24 by OFD Inspector Rolando Lara, and received by the licensing office on 6/25/24.
Facility's water has been tested for lead on 1/30/24, and a copy of lead test report was provided to LPA Campos via email on 1/30/2024. No lead exceedance were reported.
LPAs toured the licensed indoor and outdoor areas. All repairs have been completed. No structural changes were made. Facility layout remains as originally licensed. The classrooms, restrooms, food storage areas and spaces accessible to children were inspected. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to the health and safety of children in care were stored in places inaccessible to them during today's inspection. Cabinets, drawers, and rooms used for storage were locked. Furniture and equipment were age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Restrooms for children were observed, all toilets, and hand washing sink are observed to be in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors were clean and safe. Food storage areas are observed to be clean, free of litter, rubbish, and free of rodents and other vermin during today's inspection. LPAs observed a Fire extinguisher, Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors. All materials and surfaces accessible to children appeared to be toxic free. |
