Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini conducted an unannounced annual random inspection and met with Director Bhavya Doshi, who granted entry to the facility. During the inspection, the director and six staff members were supervising 24 children. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm in Rooms #4 (Busy Bees), #5 (Tigers), and #6 (Owls), with Room #1 not in use due to low enrollment. LPA inspected indoor and outdoor areas for health and safety hazards.
The facility has a working fire alarm system, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone. During the inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Per director, no firearms are stored in the facility. The center has age-appropriate toys and equipment, and the outdoor play area is fenced for supervision. The play structure is in good condition and age-appropriate. The bathrooms for both children and staff are safe, sanitary, and free from hazardous items. Drinking water is readily available for children; the facility utilizes water jugs and pitchers to refill their bottles if needed. Cots are available for children, and the bedding is sent home weekly to be washed by parents. Children bring their lunch, while the facility provides snacks. The classroom has appropriate postings, and the fire drill log indicates that the last emergency drill was conducted in November 2024. Medications are stored in high cabinets in each classroom. The facility utilizes the Lillio app for children's sign-in and sign-out, and all children's records are complete with emergency identification information on file. All staff members have criminal record clearances. The opening and closing staff have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates. All staff members have completed Mandated Reporter training, and the facility's roster was reviewed, with a copy obtained.

Criminal Record Clearance -Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Lead Testing – CCC COMPLETED TESTING

Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for


drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS)
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and
administrative records.
