| Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jyoti Saini and Kassandra Medrano arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a case management visit to process the request for a decrease in capacity and the removal of Room #3 from the license. LPAs met with facility representative McKenzie E. Llano.
Present during the inspection were the facility representative, McKenzie E. Llano, and seven staff members supervising 28 preschool aged children. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The center has obtained an approved fire clearance from Dublin Fire Prevention Services.
Based on the measurements taken by LPA Bobnicheek in 2008, the measurements are as follows:
· Indoors: 2,439.40 square feet divided by 35 = capacity for 69 children
· Outdoors: 6,914.94 square feet divided by 75 = capacity for 92 children
There are a total of 5 toilets, 1 urinal, and 7 sinks associated with the preschool license.
During today’s inspection, LPAs did not observe any bodies of water. The Licensee confirmed that there are no firearms on the premises. The preschool rooms are equipped with age-appropriate materials and equipment. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector and fire extinguisher in the center. The facility was reminded that opening and closing staff shall maintain current CPR and first aid certifications.
As the facility requested a decrease in capacity to 65, and the fire department has issued clearance for 65, the facility is licensed for a capacity of 65.
Notice of Site Visit was provided and posted.
An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with facility representative McKenzie E. Llano.
