25 | On May 3, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Simerjit Kaur conducted an UNANNOUNCED ANNUAL REQUIRED INSPECTION. LPA Kaur met with Facility Director Robin Eng. Present at the time of the inspection were 2 staff and 4 children. The facility is within ratio and capacity limitation today. The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm.
There is one classroom for infants. Infant classroom was inspected for age appropriate furnishings, equipment, and adequate storage for children’s belongings. LPA observed the cleanliness of floors and surfaces. Fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors meet the State Fire Marshall standards and is accessible throughout the facility. The changing tables are within arm’s reach of the sink. The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There is sufficient padding under in the outdoor play area. There are no pools, hot tubs or other accessible bodies of water. Per director, there are no firearms present on the premises. Cleaning supplies/toxins are inaccessible to children during the inspection. All required postings are posted. The parents provide food and snack for children. The bedding is washed weekly by parents. The center also conducts and documents fire and earthquake drills once every 6 months and the logs show that drills were conducted on 5/3/23.
A copy of the children’s roster were available for review and copy was obtained. LPA reviewed children and staff members files. All staff has current immunization, current CPR/First Aid certificates and Mandated Reporter training.
