The preschool classrooms are rooms 105, 109 and the geranium. Each of the classroom floors, surfaces, furniture and equipment appear to be safe, sanitary, in good repair and age appropriate for the children in care. The heating, lighting and ventilation is adequate. LPA Fernandes observed bottled waters available for the children. LPA did not observe any bodies of water, free standing water, cleaning supplies, or toxic items accessible to children during todays inspection. Due to COVID parents are providing lunch and snacks for their children, however there is available food for the children if needed. The outside play areas are located right outside of each of the classrooms and is fenced in. There are shaded areas, drinking water and age appropriate toys available to the children. All required documents are posted for public review. Due to COVID all sign in and outs are being done electronically. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months, the last drill was recorded on 4/28/22. Each class is equipped with a fully stocked first aid kit, carbon monoxide, smoke detectors, a 3A40BC fire extinguishers and a pull down fire alarm. The fire system is hardwired.
The center roster was reviewed and a copy was obtained. A review of 10 children records and five staff files were reviewed and complete. Mandated reporter training is current for all staff.
