On 8/17/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Domantay conducted a case management inspection at this facility. LPA met with community school manager, Leslye Salinas. There were no children present during the inspection. An application was received with a request for a room change, for Room 1 to be added to the license and a decrease of capacity. The portable will no longer be part of the preschool license. The facility will operate Monday-Friday 8:30am-3pm.

A tour of the Room 1 was conducted for a health and safety inspection with community school manager, Leslye Salinas. LPA did not observe any hazardous items, defects or dangerous conditions. Classroom has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher and centralized combination carbon monoxide/smoke detection system. Per LPM Dyson, superintendent certification is not needed under preschool license for preschool program to utilize classroom.

A fire clearance, dated 8/1/23, was received from the Oakland Fire Department for 20 preschoolers, ages 2 years to first grade entry.

Room 1 will be made part of the preschool license effective 8/17/23 with a capacity of 20 preschool children. There are no deficiencies being cited. An exit interview was conducted with community school manager, Leslye Salinas and appeal rights were provided.
