25 | On 07/30/2021 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Newton conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a required one year inspection. LPA was met by the director Celeste Low. Present for the inspection is 29 preschoolers with 3 teachers. All staff present are cleared and associated with the facility. LPA toured the facility with the director.
Classroom area was found free of hazards and toxins, cleaning supplies have been made inaccessible to children. Per the director there are no firearms on site. There are no bodies of water on site. Classroom area has age appropriate toys and furnishings. LPA observed children engaged in art today. Floors of classroom are clean and safe.
Bathroom area was observed in safe, sanitary working condition. The facility recently had new floors installed and upgraded the bathrooms in the infant program and preschool program. Waste containers were found with a tight fitting lid.
Outdoor play area was inspected and playground equipment was found in safe operating condition. There is shaded area available for children. Facility has drinking water available for children. A menu for lunch is available.
LPA reviewed children and staff files which were complete with appropriate documentation. CPR and First Aid is current for staff on site, expiring 02/17/2022. Facility is emailing LPA Newton a child care roster and personnel report.
Facility is reminded that ALL assistants, volunteers, frequent visitors, or adults that are 18 years of age or older must be fingerprint cleared and associated to this facility prior to being in the presence of children in care or an immediate civil penalty will be assessed from $100 to $3000 per person, per incident.
No deficiencies cited at this visit. Exit interview conducted, appeal rights provided, and a copy of this report was left with the facility.
A notice of site visit was given and licensee was reminded that it must remain posted for 30 days. |
