On 9/23/2021 at 8:00am Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Wynn Norona and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaylena Miller arrived to conduct an unannounced case management inspection. Upon arrival there was a white van full of school age children that were being transported to school and several other parents dropping off children.

At 8:05am LPM Norona and LPA Miller introduced ourselves to Cory Hudson, Celebration Church Children’s Ministry Pastor and explained the purpose of our visit. Cory states that they know their license has been revoked but they are currently running day camps. LPM and LPA advised Cory that the license was not revoked but licensing served temporarily suspension order (TSO). Cory also stated that they have been in contact with hively and that they called to let their parents know that the facility was not licensed. LPA Norona did ask if we can do a physical inspection of the camp and Per Cory their attorney said they no longer have to grant access to licensing into the buildings because they are no longer operating under the licensed childcare.

On 9/20/2021 Celebration Learning Center was served a Temporary Suspension Order, and as of 6:00pm on 9/20/2021 all operations for providing care and supervision for children must cease and was explained to Director Julie Jensen and Pastor Larry Ihrig.

At 8:25am LPA Miller asked for any documentation for a written plan of operation for the Celebration Church Children’s Ministry day camp and per Cory everything is digital but anything related to “licensing” was removed and the facility changed their shirts and badges but would try to send us something via email. LPA Miller also

No exit interview was conducted. Notice of Site Visit left at the front door of the facility. A copy of this report was also left at the front door of the facility.
