25 | On 06/29/22 at 11:30am Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Domantay and Melissa Guirit arrived at the facility for an unannounced case management inspection. LPAs met with Xóchitl García Villafaña, the operations manager. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. An application was received for a capacity increase and toddler option. LPAs conducted a full tour of the facility to conduct a health and safety inspection with Xochitl. No changes were made throughout the facility since facility was licensed. All previous measurements remain the same from previous license.
A fire clearance, with a total capacity of 134, was received from the Oakland Fire Department. A clearance for 102 preschoolers ages 2 years to first grade entry and 32 toddlers, ages 18 months to 36 months for a total capacity of 134.
LPAs observed that the classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. There are sufficient amount of sinks and toilets for children to utilize. LPAs observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment, furniture, and are equipped with varied age appropriate materials and equipment. LPAs observed the preschool and toddler outdoor play yard areas, they are fully fenced and have ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment, and furniture.There is sufficient cushion to absorb a child's fall under the play structures and play areas. LPAs observed ample amount of shade for children. Preschool outdoor play areas are distinctly separate to toddler care program outdoor play spaces.
The building has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher and first aid supplies. There is a working telephone at the center. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items that would be accessible to children.
