32 | Outside play area (securely fenced) is safe and free of hazards. There were a variety of toys and play materials. The area around the climbing playground equipment is cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. Sandbox is inspected daily. There is an outside shaded area.
A sample of Children's files (3) were examined. They list emergency information, a medical assessment, and an Admission Agreement.
A roster was obtained. Staff records (3) were reviewed. Staff records contain a health screening assessment, immunization records, and Mandated Reporter Training certificates. Required training will need to be completed every 2 years.
The director stated that at least one person trained in CPR/First Aid is always present. All individuals subject to a criminal record review have obtained clearance or a criminal record exemption.
There are no deficiencies cited today.
The director was reminded of the Department's Inspection authority. Director was encouraged to frequently visit the website at www.ccld.ca.gov for licensing regulations, forms and updates.
Exit interview conducted. Notice of site visit was posted at the time of the inspection, and must remain posted for 30 days. This report must be kept available for public review for 3 years.
