On 02/06/2025 at 01:30 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) A. Hollinger and D. Campos conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection at Fuzzy Caterpillar Preschool. LPAs met with teachers Evelyn Lopez and Lakeela Smith and explained the purpose of today's inspection. LPAs were granted inspection authority to enter the facility. The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Director Tali Risse arrived later to complete the inspection with LPAs. Facility's operating days and hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 AM 6:00 PM. Present for this inspection were 45 children and 6 staff.

The physical plant was inspected. LPAs toured the premises with the teacher.
Indoor space: Facility operates at two addresses, adjacent to each other. 1510 is a converted house with four main areas for the children and 1504-A is a rented space with one main classroom.
Facility was observed to be in compliance with teacher to children ratio requirement during LPA’s inspection.

The classrooms, restrooms, food storage areas and spaces accessible to children were inspected. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to the health and safety of children in care were stored in places inaccessible to them during today's inspection. Storage areas for poisons were locked. Medications were kept in a safe place inaccessible to day care children. Cabinets, drawers, and rooms used for storage were locked.
