On Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:29 AM, Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Caroline Colson met with Director April Van Zee and Regional Director, Danasia Neal, for a case management inspection to request 12 infants for an Infant Component with the ages 0 - 24 months and 8 Toddlers for a Toddler Component with ages 18 months - 36 months. Licensee requests a decrease in capacity for the Preschool Component to 48 preschool children from 2 years of age to first grade entry. The fire clearance was granted and received. The facility operates on Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
Classroom 200 is the classroom for the Infant Component. Classroom 199 is the classroom for the Toddler Component. LPA is using measurements from report dated January 13, 2010 for the (3) Preschool classrooms. Classrooms 101, 102 and 104 which were originally Classroom 3, Classroom 4 and Classroom 5. Therefore, the total measurements for the Preschool program is 1984.14 sq. and will accommodate Applicant's request for 48 children. LPA measured (1) classroom, Classroom 200, for the Infant Component. The total measurement for the Infant Component is 433.18 sq ft. which will accommodate the Applicant's request for 12 Infants. LPA measured (1) classroom, Classroom 199 for the Toddler Component. The total measurement for the Toddler Component is 408.62 sq. ft. which will accommodate the Applicant's request for 8 Toddlers.

There is one potty chair for Classroom 200. There is one toilet and one sink for Classroom 199. There is one toilet/one sink in Classroom 104 and 3 toilets/3 sinks between Classrooms 101 and 102.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
The Infant Outdoor Play Area is the second play yard at the facility. The measurements for the Infant Outdoor Play Area is 1439.62 sq. ft and will accommodate the Applicant's request for 12 Infants. The Preschool Outdoor Play Area was remeasured and the new measurements are 2,256.23 sq. ft and will not accommodate the Applicant's request for 38 Preschool children.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

The following items are required before a license will be issued:
1. Proof of Water Pitchers with cups for the classrooms
2. Waiver for Infant Outdoor Play Area to have a shared play space for Toddlers. Outdoor Play Area
3. Parent Handbook and Employee Handbook will need to be reviewed for updated information regarding infants.
4. Shade will need to be provided for the Infant Outdoor Play Area.
5. Submit current facility sketches with dimensions, sinks/toilets and names of classrooms with components.
6. Waiver for Preschool Outdoor Play Area.
