25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee, YU YU LUO for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee’s husband. Present during this inspection was Licensee, her husband and helper supervising three (3) infants and four (4) preschoolers. This facility is providing care to the child(ren) of military family. Licensee lives in the home with her husband. The home is a two story home with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, garage and back yard and front yard. The hours of operation are 7:30AM- 6:00PM, Monday -Friday. The facility has liability insurance through Accord company and LPA verified the liability insurance during this inspection.
ON-LIMIT AREAs the living room, family room, and kitchen, dining area, half bathroom on the first floor and front yard walk thorough only and backyard.
OFF-LIMIT AREAs are the entire second floor and garage. The off-limit areas are made inaccessible to children by locked doors, safety gates and visual supervision.
LPA observed the following: Daycare Area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment for children, indoors and outdoors. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. There are no bodies of water or Fireplace in the Daycare area. There are ample of age-appropriate toys. Each child has separate cot labeled with their name and separate blanket. The blankets are washed weekly by the Parents. There is a child safety gate located at the bottom of the stairs to prevent access to the stairs and upper levels to children in care. The outdoor play area is fenced and equipped with age-appropriate toys. Licensee states there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. The facility provides am/pm snacks and lunch.
Licensee and helper have valid CPR on the file. Licensee conducted last emergency drill on 06/23/2023 and is properly logged. Licensee and helper have current Mandated Reporter training on the file. Discipline policy is redirection. LPA reviewed children’s files. All the files are complete and up to date. All required postings are properly posted. Licensee document 15 minutes sleep check and LPA reviewed the sleep log during the inspection. The facility roster is complete and reviewed.
