25 | On 6/6/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Crass, arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced visit to follow up regarding a lead exceedance. LPA met with the Director, Joshua Reed, to explain the purpose of today's visit.
During a visit on 11/16/23, the facility was cited for failing to maintain a lead value at or below the Action Level for water lead testing resulting with values of 5.5ppb or greater for outlet H. Water testing results identified with Action Level Exceedance as defined in WD section 101700.3 are not deemed safe to drink. The director had previously indicated Outlet H had been replaced and the Director was advised to retest the outlet prior to the outlet being used for children to ensure the outlet no longer exceeds the allowed amount. During the visit on 11/16/23 the Director made the sink inaccessible by placing a bag over the outlet to ensure the outlet is not being used.
During todays visit, the director stated that they had replaced and retested the outlet (on 2/10/24) however the facility received the results on 3/8/24, showing the outlet is still in exceedance. The director stated the water testing company recommended to schedule a Zoom meeting with them to discuss how to remediate the faucet.
The director stated that a Zoom meeting is being scheduled with the water testing company, and that the facilities plan is to completely remove Outlet H.
Exit interview conducted, appeal rights were given, and report was reviewed with the Director, Joshua Reed. |
