25 | On 11/28/22, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Domantay met with Director Vivi Teng for a Required 1 Year inspection. The facility center and playground areas were toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Present during today's inspection was Director Vivi and 8 preschool staff. There were 39 preschool children present during today's inspection. All adults present today are fingerprint cleared and associated. The center operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
LPA toured the premises with Director.The facility currently operates in 4 classrooms. The classrooms are separated by 2-3's, 3-6 year olds. LPA toured each classroom. Each classroom had age appropriate toys. Furnishings were observed in safe condition. The facility has pet birds in some of the classrooms that are in a cage. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to the health and safety of children were stored in places inaccessible to them. Furniture and equipment were age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. There are 9 toilets and multiple sinks available for preschool children's use. Restrooms for children were observed to be in safe, sanitary, and functioning condition. Floors were clean and free from tripping hazard. Food storage area were clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. Trash cans for solid waste had tight-fitting covers and were in good repair. LPA observed multiple 3A40BC Fire extinguishers, combination smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors. The last Fire Drill was conducted on July 22, 2022. Director is reminded that fire drills should be conducted at least every 6 months. The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid Kit and working telephone. Facility does not provide transportation for preschool children, but Director understands that children cannot be left alone, unattended in parked vehicles. Facility’s License, Parents’ Rights Poster PUB 393, Personal Rights, Activity Schedules, and menus were observed to be posted. Facility provides snacks, lunch is provided from home for children. Isolation area for sick children is in the Music Room.
