25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with Licensee Alessandra Puga for an Unannounced Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection was the licensee's fingerprint cleared husband, J. Puga, one (1) preschool age child, and her school age daughter (5). Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 7:45 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA toured the facility to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. This single story home was clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. The Isolation area will be a section of the living room, away from other children in care.
On- Limit areas are the: Living and dining room, kitchen, day-care room, bedroom on the right side of the hallway, backyard, and the bathroom near the day-care room,
Off- Limit areas are the: Master bedroom, In law unit in the backyard, two sheds in the backyard
The off-limits are will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. . There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today's inspection. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection. There are ample age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition
The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, and telephone. There's a wall heater in the living room that is blocked, inaccessible to children in care. Per licensee, there are firearms stored at this facility in a locked firearm closet in an off-limits area inaccessible to children in care. The licensee is in compliance with the immunization laws which pertains to all childcare providers.
