25 | On August 28, 2025, at 10:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an Unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and met with licensee Alessandra Puga. LPA disclosed the purpose of the visit and conducted a health and safety inspection, touring the facility both inside and outside. Present during the inspection were the licensee’s fingerprint cleared assistant, the licensee’s stepfather and stepmother, and eight children in care, including three infants and preschool-age children. The facility operates from Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This single-story home, owned by the licensee, consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining room, kitchen, backyard, in-law unit, and an attached one car garage. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and equipped with centralized heating, air conditioning, and ventilation for the safety and comfort. The kitchen area was re-inspected and has been placed back on-limits as of August 28, 2025.
At 12:15 PM, LPA inspected the backyard area and confirmed that no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water were present, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations. LPA asked the licensee if she transports children in care. The licensee stated that she and her husband do provide transportation and provided LPA with a copy of their current California driver’s licenses. Per the licensee, there are firearms stored at the facility; however, they are kept in a locked firearm cabinet located in an off-limits area inaccessible to children in care. At 1:30 PM, LPA Woods inspected the area and confirmed that the firearms were properly secured.
