25 | On 2/25/2022 at 10:50AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Phan arrived to the facility unannounced for a case management inspection to determine if the facility is ready for an INCREASE IN CAPACITY. LPA met with Licensee Meena Sood. During today's inspection, there were 1 infant (licensee's grandson), 4 preschool age children, and 1 school aged child. Also residing in the home is the licensee's fingerprinted and associated members, Vipal Sood (licensee's adult son), Nancy Dewan (licensee's adult daughter), and Neetika Sood (licensee's daughter in law). The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
The home is a single story, which is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The areas used for childcare are the living room, dining room, bathroom #1, backyard, left side bedroom, and kitchen. The off-limit areas are the garage, 3 remaining bedrooms and left side backyard. Per the fire clearance, day care activities are not permitted in garage. The isolation area will be the bedroom in left side bedroom that is on limits area. The outdoor play area is the fenced backyard. There are ample age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were made inaccessible to children.
The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and telephone. The licensees' Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires 03/17/22. The fireplace has been blocked and locked. Per licensee, there are no firearms or pets or any bodies of water in the home. The licensee conducts and documents fire and disaster drills, and log indicates a drill was conducted 01/20/22.The licensee have proof of the required immunizations and mandated reporter training was completed on 10/07/2020.
