25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Director, Rina Jarin for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection of the Infant / Toddler component of this combination day-care center. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the director. There are no children in care today. The facility operates Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm in room#11 and room #12. The facility was inspected indoor and outdoor today for health and safety hazards and the following was observed;
There are no bodies of water, firearms, or weapons on the premises. The center is in good condition with proper temperature and ventilation and is free of any hazards. All furniture is in good repair. The Center has age-appropriate toys and equipment. A first aid kit and a first aid backpack are available .Infant changing tables are within reach of a sink. Each child has separate crib. The outdoor play area is fenced for supervision and separate from the preschool play area. The play structure is age-appropriate and in good condition with sufficient cushioning underneath. The program requires the parents to bring daily snacks and lunch. The classroom has appropriate postings. The last Emergency Drill was conducted on 04/12/2023 and is properly logged. Medications are stored on a high shelf which is inaccessible to children in care. LPA did not observe any dangerous items accessible today, including medications, poisons, disinfectants, or cleaning supplies, that could be dangerous to infants. There is a working fire alarm system. The room has a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, a fully charged fire extinguisher, and a working telephone available.
The center roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained. A review of 4 children's files and 3 staff files were completed. All children have a record of emergency identification information and immunization record on file. All the children files have infants feeding plan, Needs and Services plan and Infant Individual Sleeping plan (LIC 9227) placed on the files. The facility documents the 15 minutes sleep check regularly. The facility uses the Bright wheel app to sign in and sign out the children.
