On 6/8/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji met with Licensee Lakesha Aarif for an Unannounced Required Annual Inspection. Also present for today's visit were 2 additional staff members and 5 infant aged children. There is an preschool component attached to the center, license number 013421995. The teacher- child ratio was being met today. The center was toured for a health and safety inspection, operating are 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The center operates out of a building with one main classroom. The heating, lighting and ventilation is adequate. There is one sink available for the infants, the changing table is within arms length and is sanitary conditions. There are supplies available for the staff to wash and dry their hands. There is a separate bathroom for staff within the facility. The activities and toys appear to be age appropriate for the infants in care. The outside play area is fully fenced with shaded areas. There is a separate kitchen area that is maintained in a clean manner. Facility provides AM/PM snacks and lunch for the children. All infants have their own area to store personal belongings. The center has a working carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector and fully charged fire extinguishers. LPA did not observe any bodies of water, free standing water, cleaning supplies, or toxic items accessible to children during today’s inspection.

All proper postings are made visible. The sign-in and out log is electronic and was reviewed. LPA obtained the center’s files, and reviewed five infant files and all staff files. LPA obtained a copy of the children’s roster. All staff files were complete and current with CPR and Mandated Reporter training.
