A Case Management Visit was conducted on this date 06/03/2022 by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Melanie Otsuji. LPA met with Director, Rebecca Hardesty. The center has submitted an application for an increase in capacity from 65 to 70 children. The preschool program had a previous inspection conducted on 7/19/2021 by LPA Otsuji which added Room D1 (Slippery Fish). Facility will have use of the 5 classrooms (C1 Tadpoles, C2 Guppies, C3 Stingrays, D1 Slippery Fish and F2 Kinder Room). Hours of operation are from 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Present during today's visit were 12 staff members and 48 preschool aged children. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. The following are the measurements from previous LPA visit:
INDOORS: 3291.68 square feet = 94 children
OUTDOORS: 2857.44 square feet = 38 children
The center has obtained an approved fire clearance from Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Dept on 5/19/2022 for the capacity increase. Playground equipment is in good condition. Drinking water is available inside and outside. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Preschool rooms are equipped with varied age appropriate materials and equipment. There are 5 toilets and 9 sinks available for children use. The staff have a separate bathroom in Stingray's room which will also serve as an isolation bathroom. The office will serve as an isolation room for sick children. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any changes to IMS are made, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301. All licensing required documents are posted. Zero Tolerance policies were explained. Notice of Site Visit form was provided and posted. The center was found to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. There were no deficiencies cited during this visit. A license for 70 preschool aged children operating out of 5 rooms (C1 - Tadpoles (toddler option), C2 - Guppies, C3 - Stingrays, D1 - Slippery Fish, F2 - Kinder Room) will be issued today, effective 6/3/2022. Yard waiver to be posted. An exit interview was conducted.
