On February 21, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Simerjit Kaur, and met with facility director Rebecca Hardesty for an UNANNOUNCED RANDOM INSPECTION. The center is a preschool with a toddler component. The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Present the inspection were 10 staff members and 49 children. The facility is within ratio and capacity compliance today. The facility operates Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 5:30pm.
There is one classroom, Tadpoles, which is being utilize for the toddler program. There are 3 classrooms for preschool: Stringrays, Guppies, and Slippery Fish. Sign-in and sign-out logs were reviewed. Fire and earthquake drill was conducted and documented dated 2/2/2023. The facility was observed to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. All storage areas for poisons are locked. There are adequate play and learning materials available. Furniture and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. There is adequate heating/air conditioning, ventilation and lighting. Drinking water is available inside and outside of the center. There is proper individual storage space for each child. The children take naps at this facility. The bedding is washed weekly by the parents. The isolation area for sick children is in the office. There are working carbon monoxide in the classrooms.
There are separate bathrooms for staff and children. Toilets and faucets work properly. The children are able to reach the sinks and toilets. Toddler changing tables are within reach of a sink. Supplies are available to the children. The children bring their own meal and snacks.
There are no bodies of water accessible to children. There are play structures available to children. There was a current children roster and personnel roster available for review.

All individuals subject to criminal record review have a clearance or exemption and have been associated to the facility. Children's files and staff files were reviewed. Facility opener and closer have current CPR and First Aid certificate. Mandated Reporter Training certificates were reviewed. Licensee was updated with required forms that must be posted in a public accessible area. Medication is stored inside a kitchen cabinet inaccessible to children. The first aid kit is complete and available in each classroom.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services - IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment /supplies, and reviewed child's file, personnel and administrative records.
