25 | On October 9, 2025, at 8:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection and met with licensee Hirut Aychiluhim. LPA disclosed the purpose of the visit and conducted a health and safety inspection, touring the facility both inside and outside. Present during the inspection were the licensee’s fingerprint-cleared assistant and six children in care, including four infants and two preschool-age children. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
This two-story home, rented by the licensee, consists of six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living and dining room, two kitchens, a designated child care room, a backyard, and an attached two-car garage. There are gates installed at the front and back entrances of the kitchen, as well as a door connecting the kitchen to the bathroom, to prevent children from entering the kitchen area. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and equipped with centralized heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
At approximately 8:15 AM, LPA inspected the backyard area and confirmed that no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water were present, in compliance with child care licensing regulations. The outdoor play area is fully fenced and free from defects or hazardous conditions. Trees and an upper deck provide adequate shade and protection from the sun during outdoor play. The play area includes small slides with cushioning material underneath to absorb falls, along with play equipment appropriate for both infants and preschool-age children.
On-limit-areas include: Downstairs child care room, all three bedrooms, bathroom, and backyard.
The Isolation area of the home will be the first bedroom to the left of the child care room, away from other children in care.
Off-limit-areas include: Entire upstairs, Downstairs kitchen, and garage.
The off-limits will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
LPA asked the licensee if she transports children in care, and the licensee stated that she does not provide transportation. LPA also asked the licensee if there are any firearms in the home, and the licensee stated that there are none.
