25 | On 08/10/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittany Newton conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a required health and safety inspection. LPA was met by lead teacher Sireena Licea, who is in charge while the director is out. Present for the inspection was 11 children with two teachers. LPA toured the facility with Sireena.
Per Sireena there are no firearms in the facility. The two classrooms in use have age appropriate toys and furnishings. Cleaning supplies and hazards were observed inaccessible to children. No children are on medication in the classroom at the moment, however the facility has a first aid kit available. Bathroom area was found clean with hand washing supplies.
Sign in and sign out sheet was reviewed, due to COVID-19 facility is using a digital platform with assessment questions that parents answer before bringing children to the facility.
Multiple fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguishers were observed throughout the facility. Facility has been conducting fire drills with the last one being May 2021.
Outdoor play area was inspected and found safe for use of children. No sharp edges were observed.
LPA reviewed children files which were found complete. CPR and first aid is current for staff on site, expiring 06/15/2022.
Facility is reminded that ALL assistants, volunteers, frequent visitors, or adults that are 18 years of age or older must be fingerprint cleared and associated to this facility prior to being in the presence of children in care or an immediate civil penalty will be assessed from $100 to $3000 per person, per incident.
No deficiencies cited at this visit.
Exit interview conducted, appeal rights provided, and a copy of this report was left with the facility.
A notice of site visit was given and licensee was reminded that it must remain posted for 30 days. |
