25 | On 10/22/21 at 9:30am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Domantay and Melissa Guirit arrived at the facility for an unannounced case management inspection. LPAs met with Xochitl Garcia, the operations manager. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. An application was received for a change of capacity and toddler option. LPAs conducted a full tour of the facility to conduct a health and safety inspection with Xochitl. There are no changes to the bathrooms and outdoor space that were previously licensed. LPAs toured the toddler classroom in Modular 2 Site A to conduct a health and safety inspection, LPAs measured toddler classroom and completed the following measurements:
INDOORS: 1045.49 square feet = 30 children
OUTDOORS: 2380.00 square feet = 31 children
A fire clearance, with a total capacity of 30, was received from the Oakland Fire Department.

There are no bodies of water nor any firearms or weapons in the premises. Storage for cleaning supplies are locked and made inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are free of any hazards. The classrooms are equipped with age appropriate materials and equipment. There is a carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, and a 3A40BC fire extinguisher that is available in toddler classroom. Heating, lighting, and air conditioner are adequate. First Aid Kit is available. LPAs observed that the classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. LPAs observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment and furniture. There is a working telephone at the center. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items that would be accessible to children. The staff office will be used for ill children as the isolation area.
