25 | A Case Management Visit was conducted on this date 7/27/22 by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Melissa Domantay and Melissa Guirit. LPAs met with center director/owner, Lori Miller-Smith. The center has submitted an application to add a toddler option to the preschool license. Hours of operation are from 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. All measurements remain the same from last inspection.
A fire clearance was received from the Oakland Fire Department for 15 preschoolers, ages 2 years to first grade entry with toddler option, 6 toddlers ages 18 months to 36 months. Also on site, 8 infants ages birth to 24 months.
Playground equipment is in good condition. A waiver request has been submitted for scheduled outdoor play between the preschool and toddler program. Toddlers will be utilizing the small infant play yard when not in use by infant program. Drinking water is available inside and outside. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. A waiver request has been submitted for the use of bathrooms to utilized between the preschool and toddler options on a designated time schedule. There is a kitchen inaccessible to children. Menus are posted. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided and prepared on site. There is adequate variety and quantity of foods to meet the children's needs. Cots are used for napping. Paper and electronic form sign in and out is utilized. Facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector.
The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector located in the hallway near one of the exits, a pull down fire alarm near the front door, a 3A40BC fire extinguisher in the hallway. The fire system is hardwired. |
