On Tuesday February 27, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) M. Domantay met with Head Teacher Karina Martin, for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection for an application that was submitted to change the capacity and increase the facility capacity to 70 School Age Children. Present during today's inspection were Head Teacher, Karina Martin and 1 staff. There were no School Age children upon arrival. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 6:00PM. The fire clearance was granted on 10/16/2023 for 70 School Age, ages 4.7 to 13 years.

LPA toured all areas designated for the School Age Program with Head Teacher, Karina Martin. The program operates in 2 indoor areas, Classroom #7 and the Multi-Purpose Room and 1 outdoor area. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to the health and safety of children were stored in places inaccessible to them, by child locks on storage cabinets. Furniture and equipment were age appropriate and in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Restrooms for children were observed to be in safe, sanitary, and functioning condition. Floors were clean and free from tripping hazard. Food storage area were clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. Trash cans had tight fitting lids and were in good repair. LPA observed a 3A40BC Fire extinguisher in Classroom #7 and a 4A60BC fire extinguisher in the Multi-Purpose Room, combination smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector in Classroom #7.

School Age Program operates on the grounds of Cornell Elementary School, which exempts program from square footage for indoor and outdoors areas. The restrooms are located outside Classroom #7 in the main school building across Classroom #7 and there are 2 bathrooms in the Multi-Purpose Room for children's use. There is a separate private restroom for the staff.

Children who become ill during the day will be isolated in the reading corner of Classroom #7 and will use the staff restroom, if necessary.
