On 01/17/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Guirit and Melissa Domantay arrived at the facility for an announced case management inspection for a change of capacity. LPAs met with Director, Hanna Jeong and Owner, Subhash Varma. Present for today's inspection were 5 infants and 2 staff. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. LPAs conducted a tour of the infant classrooms to conduct a health and safety inspection with Director. All measurements remain the same from previous pre-licensing inspection.

A fire clearance was received from the Berkeley Fire Department for 12 infants ages 0 months to 24 months on 12/16/22.

LPAs observed that the classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. The changing table was within arm's reach of a sink. LPAs observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment, furniture, and are equipped with varied age appropriate materials and equipment. There will be an extra crib added to the nap room, which will make the number of cribs to 6. The outdoor play area is fully fenced and have ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment, and furniture. There is sufficient cushion to absorb a child's fall under the play structures and play areas. LPAs observed ample amount of shade for children. The building has a fully charged fire extinguisher and first aid supplies. There is a working telephone at the center. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items that would be accessible to children.

A license for a capacity of 12 infants, max 6 crib age children is effective today 01/17/23, and can be used when the facility is ready. There are no deficiencies being cited today. A Notice of Site inspection was provided to Director and Owner and an exit interview was conducted.
