Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Pooja Gupta for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Present during the inspection were the Licensee and her helper, supervising two (2) infants and five (5) preschoolers. The two-story home has four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, loft, garage, backyard, and an in-law suite. The hours of operation are 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

On-limit areas: The in-law suite (main daycare area) consists of two bedrooms and a bathroom. Half of the backyard is converted into a play area. The outdoor play area is accessed through a separate entrance on the left side of the main door, via the patio area. Off-limit areas: The second floor, the first-floor half bathroom located near the stairs, the garage, and half of the backyard. All off-limit areas are inaccessible via closed and locked doors with visual supervision.

LPA inspected the house for health and safety hazards. The daycare area is equipped with age-appropriate toys both indoors and outdoors. The home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. During today's inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. There is a fireplace in the living room, the licensee stated that it is not in use during operational hours and it is screened. The fire drill log indicates a drill was conducted on 12/2024. There are child-sized tables and chairs for snacks and activities. Each child has a separate cot and bedding. Per licensee, the bedding is washed by the parents weekly. The Licensee confirmed during the inspection that there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. There are no pets in the house. The Licensee has current CPR and First aid certification, which expires in 1/2026. Both the Licensee and helper have current Mandated Reporter certificates on file. The Licensee provides daily snacks and two meals. LPA reviewed the children's and staff files, and all the files are complete. All required postings are properly posted.
