25 | On October 5, 2022 at 9:06am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza arrived announced on a pre-licensing inspection and met with Applicant Eliza Bonneaud. Living in the home are the Applicant, Applicant's husband, and child. There are no children in care during todays inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to grant a license for a small family daycare and to conduct a health and safety check. Operating hours will be 8:30AM to 5:30PM, Monday through Friday.
The home is a two story home with 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a fully fenced backyard.The daycare will be held on the first floor of the home. The first floor of the home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The on limit areas will be the entire living room, the first bedroom to the left of the hallway, and the bathroom in the hallway. The off limit areas will be the entire second floor and the bedroom at the end of the hallway, which will remain off limits by closed and/or locked doors or visual supervision. The ISOLATION AREA will be the the reading nook in the living room. The outdoor play area will be on the deck and the fully fenced backyard. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water during today's inspection. All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of the reach of children.
There was a working combined smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the hallway. Applicant has a working telephone. The applicant's CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires on May 2024. Per Licensee, there are no firearms in the home. Applicant has a current Mandated Reporter certificate which expires on April 2024. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen. The Applicant plans on serving the children lunch and two snacks..
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00
