25 | On 4/24/24 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Akinleye arrived at the home for an unannounced case management- licensee initiated inspection for a capacity increase. Licensee currently has a pending application to increase to a large family child care home. Present during the inspection was the licensee's husband, who has fingerprint clearance, 2 infants and 3 preschool children in care.
LPA and licensee toured the home for a safety and health inspection. LPA observed that the home is neat and clean with heat and ventilation for the children in care. The home is a single story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining and backyard.The on limits areas consist of the living room, dining room, 1 bathroom, and kitchen. The off limits areas include, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and backyard.Licensee advises that the facility uses the local park for outdoor play.
Licensee has a current mandated reporter certificate which expires in April 2026 and current CPR/First Aid certificates which expire in August 2024. LPA and licensee went over forms to be posted in a family child care home and what needs to be in the children's files. LPA went over safe sleep regulations for infant sleep log that is required for children 0-24 months old.
Exit interview conducted with licensee Leandra Alexander. Appeal rights were provided and a notice of site visit to be posted for 30 days.
