25 | On 4/20/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji, met with Licensee, Arti Mangla, for an UNANNOUNCED 1 YEAR REQUIRED INSPECTION. Also present during inspection was Licensee's fingerprint cleared spouse, and 8 children (2 infants and 6 preschoolers). The home was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. This facility currently operates in an ADU and has its own kitchen, and bathroom. The facility currently operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 6:00pm.
ON LIMIT AREAS: Day care room, and bathroom in the additional dwelling unit, and backyard. OFF LIMIT AREAS: All bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen within the main house, and the garage. The off-limit areas will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and a child safety gate for the kitchen area in the ADU. The home has heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are toys and learning equipment. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present during today's inspection. The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher. All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of the reach of children and it was observed that there are no toxins or hazardous items accessible to children during today's inspection. Facility has a working smoke detector and working carbon monoxide detector, and working telephone. Facility last conducted a disaster drill on 4/17/2023. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. All REQUIRED forms are posted and visible for public review. Licensee has proof of immunizations, including TB results and mandated reporter training on file.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
