25 | On September 25, 2025, at 1:55 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and met with licensee Andrea Gill. LPA disclosed the purpose of the visit and conducted a health and safety inspection, touring the facility both inside and outside. Present during the inspection were the licensee’s fingerprint cleared stepdaughter, two infants, and one preschool-age child, who is the licensee’s son. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This single-story home, owned by the licensee, consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry area, garage, and both a front and backyard. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and equipped with central heating, air conditioning, and ventilation to ensure safety and comfort. LPA asked the licensee if she transports children in care. The licensee stated that she does not provide transportation. LPA also asked if there were any firearms in the home. The licensee stated yes and demonstrated that the firearms are stored in a locked safe located in an off-limits area of the home. LPA verified that the firearms were properly secured, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations.
On-limit-areas include: Living and dining room, kitchen, hallway bathroom, front and backyard.
The Isolation area of the home is the living room area, away from other children in care.
Off-limit-areas include: Both bedrooms, backyard garage, and laundry room.
The off-limits will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
At 2:25 PM, LPA inspected the front and backyard areas and confirmed that no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water were present, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations. The backyard play area is fully fenced and free from defects or dangerous conditions. Several trees provide shade and protection from direct sunlight. The play area includes small slides with cushioning underneath to absorb falls, tables and chairs, roller style car tracks, and other age-appropriate play equipment for children in care. LPA reminded the licensee to maintain 100% visual supervision when children are in the front yard due to the low fence and proximity to the street. The laundry room will be used as a walk-through only to gain access to the backyard.
