25 | On 2/15/24 at 2:30 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) MIchael Mathew Conduced an unannounced case management regarding increase of capacity and met with licensee Maria Torres. LPA toured the home inside and out, and there where 4 children and 1 adult at the time of the visit. All adults in the home are fingerprinted and background cleared .
Licensee uses one bedroom one bathroom, living room, Play room, and backyard for care. The home has age appropriate toys and ample amount of space for children in care. Licensee states that there are no guns/ weapons/ or ammunition in the home. LPA observed no bodies of water in the home. Knives are inaccessible to children. Chemicals are kept in the kitchen off-limits to children in care. The required fire extinguisher 2a10bc is present and fully charged. Pediatric CPR and first aid will expire on 8/17/24. Mandated reporter training will expire on 2/27/25. LPA Observed Children file which are current and completed. Fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector are good and in working condition. Last Fire drill was conducted on 2/10/24
Fire Clearance was granted by Alameda County Fire Department on 1/4/24.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A capacity of 14 for a Large Family Child Care Home is granted effective 2/15/2024.
No deficiency were cites in todays visit.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
