**THIS VISIT WAS DONE VIA PLATFORM ZOOM DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC**

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji met virtually with Licensee Janani Krishnakumaar for the purpose of an announced Change in Ownership Pre-Licensing inspection. Also present during the visit was the Licensee Krishnakumaar Ravichandran and Director Neeti Ghosh. A health & safety tour of the facility was conducted inside and out. This facility is connected to a mini strip mall and has outdoor play space. Center will be in 3 rooms. Measurements were taken of each room and of the out door play yard. There are two separate staff bathrooms and one will be utilized for an isolation restroom if a child becomes ill. This center applied for 82 children operating from 7am until 7pm. A waiver and a yard schedule was submitted for yard space never to exceed more than 48 children on the yard at one time. There is a fully stocked first aide kit with all required equipment available and a locked box for stored medications. The kitchen is kept off limits by a locked door that is connected to Room #3 the multi purpose room. No exit doors were blocked. There is ample toys and furnishings throughout the center for children's use. There are cots and mats available for children.
There are 7 toilets ( sized appropriately) and 7 sinks available for children's use. Heating and lighting was adequate. There is a play structure in the play yard and the cushion underneath is tanbark. The center Director will be Neeti Ghosh and a directors packet with all required documentation was submitted to CCL to complete the application. There is an approved fire clearance signed 11/18/2020 for 82 children. The measurements taken are as follows:

INDOORS: 3105.21 square feet = 89 children
OUTDOORS: 3673.53 square feet = 48 children

There are no bodies of water nor hazards found on the premises. Playground equipment is in good condition. Drinking water is available inside and outside. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. The sign in and out logs were reviewed. All licensing required documents are posted. This facility plans to provide Individual Medical Services – IMS. An updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. A provisional license for 60 preschoolers and 22 infants is recommended effective today, 1/6/2021. A standard license will be issued once requested information is received.
