32 | FOOD SERVICE AREAS: Facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks daily to children in care. There are weekly menus posted for public viewing. Food prep areas were inspected by the LPA and was observed to be clean and orderly. Facility has a refrigerators in the kitchen which the LPA observed to be clean and free of evidence of rodents, vermin or insects. All storage containers for solid waste have tight fitting covers that are in good repair.
OUTDOOR PLAY AREAS: Preschool program has separate play yards from the Infant/Toddler program. All play yards have play structures that are anchored for stability and cushioning to absorb falls. Canopies are available to provide shade to children while at play. LPA observed and Director confirmed that there are no pools, hot tubs or any bodies of water present at the facility.
RECORDS: All individuals subject to criminal record review have a clearance or exemption and have been associated to the facility. Six (6) children's files and three (3) staff files were reviewed, including the director's file. All staff including directors have valid Child Development permits that were issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. All staff files have required health screening and Employee Rights and all children files contain Identification & Emergency, Personal Rights, and Medical Consent forms. LPA reviewed the facility roster and obtained a copy. Mandated Reporter Training and CPR/First Aid certificates for all staff were reviewed and are up to date. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months and the last one conducted was on 1/15/2026. All required documents are posted in a public accessible area.
Center Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
