25 | On 11/30/23 @ 9:40am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) E. Laird conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. The inspection was in response to an incident which was self-reported to Community Care Licensing via Unusual Incident Report which was submitted within the required time frame.
The facility reported an allegation claiming that on 10/24/23 @ approximately 10:54am, inappropriate conduct occurred between two children while they were alone and unsupervised.
During today's inspection LPA E. Laird met with facility director Kathleen Corbett, conducted two staff interviews, and watched video footage.
Kathleen stated there was never a time when children were left unsupervised. Staff stated all children were accounted for during the entire day and there was never a time children were left alone. Staff stated they never saw children acting inappropriately or in a manner which would be of concern. Staff stated the only time children could have been left alone would have been during transition time to the playground but all children were counted and escorted to and from the playground.
LPA E. Laird observed video footage from the date of alleged incident. Video footage clearly shows children transitioning outside. The children in question were seen on the video footage exiting the classroom with the other children and three teachers. Another video shows all children, to include the children in question, coming inside from the playground with three teachers. Video footage does not reflect any children left unattended or unsupervised.
Based on evidence obtained, there is no evidence which would determine a lack of supervision occurred.
An exit interview was conducted with facility director Kathleen Corbett. A notice of site visit was provided and shall remain posted for 30 days. |
