A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 10:50am by Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA), E. Laird and S. Sims. LPA met with applicant/licensee, Denise Alioto. The applicant/licensee is requesting a license for 50 preschool age children with toddler option for 25, with a capacity of 75. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. The facility has 3 rooms (Yellow, Red, and Blue Classroom) and 3 classroom bathrooms and 2 staff bathrooms.
The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: Office (unless needed for sick children), Kitchen, and Storage Room. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of top door latch . There is a kitchen to store/prepare meals. Children will nap on mats in the yellow, red, and blue. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the Office. changing table is located in the toddler classroom (yellow room).
The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There is a metal structure and climbing dome for children to play on and adequate cushioning underneath. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in the hall closet next to the office.There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 97 children and outdoor space for 192 children. There are 6 toilets and 6 sinks available for children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 90.
