25 | On 11/17/23 @ 8:10am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) E. Laird conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. The inspection was in response to an incident which was self-reported to Community Care Licensing and an Unusual Incident Report was submitted all within the required time frame.
The facility reported that on 9/22/23 @ approximately 3:00pm, a child (C1) reported to a teacher (S1) that another teacher (S2), had "pushed her down on her mat". Due to the allegation, S2 was immediately terminated.
LPA E. Laird met with facility director Denise Alioto. Denise stated S2 was only employed at the facility for less than a month. During that time there was transition in that particular classroom. Denise stated no one in the classroom observed the alleged incident; however, due to the nature of the allegation S2 was immediately let go. Denise stated she is currently teaching in that classroom in the mornings and another staff (S3) is teaching in the afternoons. Denise stated the facility has hired a consultant to help improve the operations and advise on ways in which to support staff.
LPA E. Laird toured the facility, obtained the facility roster, conducted one staff interview and one child interview. Based on insufficient evidence, additional interviews will be conducted.
An exit interview was conducted with facility director Denise Alioto. A notice of site visit was provided and shall remain posted for 30 days. |
