25 | On 3/12/25 @ 9:00am a prelicensing inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Erica Laird. LPA met with applicant, Kayli Guiling. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 14. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 6:45am to 6:00pm. The residence is a 4 bedroom/2 bath single story home. There are 3 adults and 2 minors currently living in the home.
The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: Back yard, master bedroom/bathroom, back bedroom, front bedroom, garage. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of baby gate, door knob cover, and lock. Poisons are locked in the garage. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The fireplace is securely screened with metal gate. The children will use the front yard as the outdoor play area. The front yard is not completely fenced, therefore, the applicant understands that constant supervision must be provided while children are outside. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises.
Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
