25 | On 3/28/24 Licensing Program Analyst met with Center Director Robin Stearns to discuss a self reported Unusual incident that occurred on 3/22/24 when a conversation between the director and a parent escalated due to a misunderstanding in the presence of children in care.
Per director, the parent, who does not speak English was asked about their past due Tuition. Director says, their conversations are usually conducted with a translator present, but on this day, a translation app was used instead and there was a mis-communication which caused the conversation to escalate. The incident took place outside of the classroom. The children were escorted by staff, into their classroom, away from the incident until it was resolved.
Based on interviews and record reviews, there are no deficiencies cited today.
An exit interview was conducted. A notice of site visit was posted. |
