Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) L. Dyer met with Assistant Director Sarah Farley for the purpose of an Unannounced Complaint investigation. The director was not present. There are 25 children and 4 staff members at the facility. It was alleged that Staff are not wearing masks.
Upon arrival, LPA witnessed teachers in both classrooms wearing masks. During the entire inspection all staff wore masks. Masks were seen moving down on occasion when teachers spoke, but staff quickly adjusted their masks back into place. Interviews determined that staff were aware of the mask mandate. Extra masks were available at the facility. Postings at the facility stated that masks were to be worn.
Although the allegation of Staff are not wearing masks may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. Therefore, the results are Unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted. Appeal rights were discussed and given. This report must be kept available for public review for 3 years. Notice of Site Visit was posted.

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) L. Dyer investigated the complaint that Day care children are not wearing masks. LPA met with Assistant Director Sarah Farley as the director was not present. There are 25 children and 4 staff members present. LPA witnessed children in both classrooms wearing masks. At various times, children either pulled their masks down or asked if they could pull their masks down. Staff took time with the children and discussed germs; and why masks had to stay on when children were indoors. Interviews determined that teachers were aware of the mask mandate, and there were posters at the facility discussing wearing masks indoors. Extra masks were located in the entry area and in the supply cabinet. LPA also discussed with teachers different options when children did not want to wear masks.
Although the allegation of Day Care Children are not wearing masks may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. Therefore, the results are Unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted. Appeal rights were discussed and given. This report must be kept available for public review for 3 years. Notice of Site Visit was posted.
