On 03/14/2025 at 9:05 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Jamel Maiwandi conducted an Unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at Kindercare Learning Center. LPA met with Director, Selene Acosta and explained purpose of investigation. During today's inspection, there were 18 infant children in care with 6 staff in 2 classrooms. Director stated there are 24 children enrolled. Finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. Complainant alleges that Staff do not follow safe sleep practices. During the course of the investigation, LPA inspected the facility, reviewed records and conducted interviews. It was determined that S1 was seen swaddling infant children multiple times. Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the allegation is SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 is being cited on 9099-D page. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Selene Acosta. Appeal rights were provided. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECTIVE DAYS.

LPA met with Director, Selene Acosta and explained purpose of investigation. During today's inspection, there were 18 infant children in care with 6 staff in 2 classrooms. Director stated there are 24 infant children enrolled. Finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. Complainant alleges that Staff handle infants in a rough manner. During the course of the investigation, LPA inspected the facility, reviewed records and conducted interviews. It was determined that S1 was seen patting infant children roughly on their back and handling infant children in a rough manner. Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met. Therefore, the allegation is SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 is being cited on 9099-D page. Exit interview was conducted with Director, Selene Acosta. Appeal rights were provided. By COB 03/17/2025, Director stated they will submit an inspection log for observation of infant classrooms, An Agenda and Sign in sheet February 18, 2025 meeting, the agenda for another meeting on March 18, 2025 and a written statement on how to idenifty and assist staff with personal or work challenges.

On 03/14/2025 at 9:05 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Jamel Maiwandi conducted an Unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at Kindercare Learning Center. LPA met with Director, Selene Acosta and explained purpose of investigation. During today's inspection, there were 18 infant children in care with 6 staff in 2 classrooms. Director stated there are 24 children enrolled. Finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. Complainant alleges that Staff are mishandling infant medications. During the course of the investigation completed a physical plant inspection, reviewed facility records and conducted interviews. At this time, LPA cannot determine if staff was mishandling infant mediciations. Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED which means although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No Deficiency has been cited for this allegation. Exit interview conducted with Director, Selene Acosta. Appeal rights were provided. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECTIVE DAYS
