25 | On 9/27/2023 at 9:24am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Director Jacque Kirk, for an Unannounced Required 1-Year Inspection. The facility is located on the Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church campus. During the inspection there were nineteen (19) infants and eight (8) additional staff present. Two (2) classrooms, The Loving Lambs, and The Faithful Frogs, were toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates 7:30am – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. The facility is dual licensed and holds a preschool and school age license as well.
The facility has ample age-appropriate materials in the classrooms that were observed to be clean and in good condition. All toxins, cleaning products, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. All cribs used for sleeping were observed to be free of defects, clean and proper working order. All sleeping materials were properly stored and well maintained. All bottles and food are properly stored and labeled. Facility uses highchairs for eating as well. The diapering areas was observed to be clean, properly cushioned, and free from any defects. There are carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, and fully charged fire extinguishers on site.
All food prep areas were observed to be clean and free from defects. All children bring their own lunch from home and two snacks are provided daily for the children in the Faithful Frogs classroom. All food that is brought from the children’s home is properly labeled and stored. All children bring their own water bottles to school and have access to clean drinking water on site as well.
The outside play yard is fully fenced, clean, and free from hazards with ample amounts of shade for the children. LPA did not observe any harmful or unattended bodies of water in or around the facility.
