13 | On 12/11/23 at 1:15pm, Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Loretta Dyson arrived in the center to conduct a complaint investigation regarding the above allegation. LPM met with the owner, Lita Reeves, who arrived at the center shortly after LPM's arrival. There were 9 children and 5 additional staff also present.
During the course of the investigation, interviews were conducted, documents were reviewed and observations were made. Information received regarding the allegation indicated that a staff member was known to have bitten a child on the finger. Additional interviews were conducted and a majority of the individuals interviewed expressed surprise at the allegation. Interviewees expressed that things are good at the center and no teachers at this center would bite a child. Although the allegation of staff bit day care child may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur at the facility. Therefore, the allegation is determined to be unsubstantiated. |
