On 4/22/2025 Licensing Program Analyst Tasha Alexander met with licensee Marta Van Velzen to deliver the findings to the above complaint allegation.

Upon arrival, there are 12 napping children present along with the licensee, her husband Mark, and assistant Vienna.
On this analyst's last visit, an interview was conducted with Ms. Van Velzen and a tour of the family child care home was conducted. Today another tour of the facility was conducted. LPA observed 7 preschool age children napping on cots, 1 preschool age child ( 2 year old), napping in a play yard and 2 infants napping in individual cribs. All children are napping in the downstairs living room under the supervision of 1 assistant. Sleep logs were also reviewed today and found to be up to date. Further investigation has also been conducted.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated

An exit interview was conducted with licensee Marta Van Velzen. A notice of site visit was given and must be posted for 30 days.
