On 05/9/24 at 2:30 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) B. Govindasamy and D. Campos conducted an unannounced 3 Year Required inspection at Nicole Cannada Family Childcare Home. LPA met with Nicole and explained the purpose of today's inspection. LPA was granted the inspection authority to enter the Home. The family childcare home days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM. Present in the home at time of inspection were Licensee, her fingerprinted spouse, and 2 minor children.

Indoor Space: A health and safety tour of inside the home was done. LPA's toured the premises with licensee. The home is a two story house consisting of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, den (classroom 1), sun room (classroom 2), laundry room and garage.)The home is sanitized and orderly in compliance with Title 22 Regulations during today's inspection, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care.

Outdoor Space: LPA's toured the outdoor area (backyard) and observed it was fenced. LPA observed there are no pools, hot tubs or other bodies of water. Per licensee, the outdoor play area will be placed off-limits until remodeling is complete. Licensee understands that an inspection is required prior to changing any off-limit areas to on-limit.

OFF-LIMIT areas are the entire upper level of home, garage and the back yard. LPA observed these areas are inaccessible to children in care today by closed locked doors and visual supervision.
IN-USE The living room, dining room, play room 1, play room 2 (adjacent to kitchen), hallway bathroom, and laundry room is used as the primary areas for day-care.
