25 | On 6/16/21 at 9:50am, Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Dyson arrived at the facility for an announced prelicensing inspection. LPM with the applicant, Nahid Talebloo. There was no one else present. An application for a preschool license, was received for this facility. The facility will also have an infant license with a toddler option. The facility will operate Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm, and the preschool component will use 3 rooms. LPM toured all areas, both indoor and outdoors, that will be used by children to conduct a health and safety inspection, and completed the following measurements:
INDOORS: 543 square feet= 16 children
OUTDOORS: 3087.95 square feet= 41 children
A fire clearance, with a total capacity of 40 children, including 24 preschoolers, 12 toddlers and 8 infants, was received from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection Department on 5/10/21.
LPM observed that all rooms have sufficient lighting, heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children and staff. The floors and surfaces are clean and in good condition, with no hazards. There is an ample supply of age appropriate toys, activities, equipment, and furniture that is in good condition. There are a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets available for children, and they are in sanitary and operational condition today. There is a separate bathroom for staff. The office and staff bathroom will be used for the isolation of sick children. The food preparation/storage area is clean and LPM did not observe any cleaning supplies stored with food. The facility will provide snacks and lunch will be brought from home. LPM observed an ample supply of cots, which are stored appropriately. The facility will utilize an electronic sign in/out system.
The facility is equipped with a 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a centralized smoke and carbon monoxide detection system, telephone, and first aid kits. LPM did not observe any hazardous items, toxins, bodies of water or medication accessible to children today. |
