On 9/20/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monica Mathur conducted an unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at Kensington L'Academy Language Immersion Preschool. LPA met with Interim Director, Eva Poon and explained the purpose of today’s inspection. Complainant alleges that staff uses inappropriate form of discipline. During course of investigation LPA conducted facility inspection, observations, record review, interviews and obtained documents. At this time it could not be determined that any incident did or did not occur that violated personal rights of children.

Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED which means although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No deficiency is cited for this allegation. Technical Violation was issued for Personal Rights reminding facility about requirement to stay in compliance with personal rights regulations at all times. Exit interview conducted with Interim Director, Eva Poon. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
