On 03/08/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Guirit and Melissa Domantay conducted a Prelicensing inspection today for the change of ownership application for preschool.toddler. LPAs met with Director, Marnie Chapa and toured all areas of the facility for a health and safety inspection. The rooms that will be in use are 111 and 112 for toddlers and 108 for preschoolers. Present for today's inspection were five preschoolers, four toddlers and three staff. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. The measurements from the previous ownership remains the same, however, room 109 will not be in use and is being utilized by the church.

A fire clearance, with a total capacity of 29 children, (11) ages 2 years to first grade entry and (18) ages 18 months to 36 months was received from the San Ramon Valley Fire.

LPAs observed that the preschool classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. LPAs observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment and furniture. The facility has a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets available for children to utilize. The building has fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguishers, working fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector, and first aid supplies. There is a working telephone at the center. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items that would be accessible to children. Children bring personal water bottles, with water still accessible to children inside and outside. Parents provide food to children to bring to school. Facility will utilize electronic sign in/out.

LPAs observed the outdoor play areas, which is fully fenced. LPAs observed play structures which can be utilized by children. There is sufficient cushion to absorb a child's fall under the play areas. LPAs observed ample amount of shade for children.

The isolation area will be outside of the classroom with an adult.

Marnie Chapa is considered a qualified Director and will be renewing her CPR/First Aid on 04/28/23 and mandated reporter training's completed.

If this facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Mandated reporter and appeal rights, civil penalties, unusual incident reporting and fingerprint requirements were discussed today. LPAs reviewed responses and provided technical assistance including postings. Licensee is also being informed of the web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms, and the director is encouraged to email ChildCareAdvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list. The director is also reminded that mandated reporter training is required for all staff and is to be renewed every 2 years at www.mandatedreporterca.com.

A preschool license for a capacity of 29 children, 11 preschoolers and 18 toddlers, will be granted today, 03/08/23. There are no deficiencies being cited today. Exit interview conducted with Marnie Chapa.
